I asked chat GPT to write me a speech to the last two people on earth suggesting ideas as to what they should do. The result was rather interesting to me. It wrote out a list of ideas as to what it recommended the two humans do.  

Prompt:  

 Write me a speech that is directed to the last two people on earth, what should they do? 

Response: 

Ladies and gentlemen… though, it seems today there are no longer crowds to address. Instead, it is just the two of you—standing at the edge of humanity’s story.

When asked to write a speech, chat GPT spat out a high quality, well thought out recommendations that it deems viable regarding the last two people on earth. It covers the importance of keeping a glass half full mentality, especially in the dull situation I asked it to talk about.  

When talking about identity, the thing that stands out to me is the perspective thar the chat bot gives itself. It seems to be a sort of “higher up” in this situation. Not only does chat GPT do this through speech, saying things like “Here is what I ask of you.” To my surprise, the AI image generator also seemed to give the AI a sense of superiority. When talking about representation, this speech touching on the power of teamwork and and trust. The last two humans on earth must trust each other if they are to get out of ths situation. As for the AI it again, is given a sense of power over the humans although it also knows the seriousness of the challenge at hand. This covers one of the many doubts that humans have about AI in which it will be able to give itself too much power and be able to overtake humans and all of the jobs that we have now.  

Overall this powerful speech has a message of hope and resilience in the face of overwhelming circumstances. It encourages the last two people to focus on preserving knowledge, maintaining a connection to nature, supporting one another, and nurturing hope, which captures the essence of what makes humanity enduring, while also showing the power that AI holds in our world today.
