AI’s Eulogy

Introduction: I used ChatGPT for this assignment. My idea was to have AI write a eulogy for itself, in the context of its usage dissolving in a distant future due to a negative impact on society. I used Canva to generate the image.

Prompt: “Write a eulogy about AI and its consequences.”

ChatGPT: “Today, we gather to reflect on the legacy of artificial intelligence, a force that has fundamentally altered our lives and society. AI emerged as a beacon of progress, promising to enhance our capabilities, solve complex problems, and create opportunities. Its influence reached across industries, transforming how we work, communicate, and understand the world. 

However, as we remember its achievements, we must also acknowledge the challenges it brought. AI’s rise has raised significant ethical concerns, from issues of privacy to the displacement of jobs. The technology that once promised utopia now presents complex dilemmas that demand careful consideration and response. 

In honoring AI, we recognize both its remarkable contributions and the difficulties it has introduced. Reflection: From this result we can infer that future technologies will properly take the risks into account to avoid a repeat. It acknowledges the usefulness, but also the harm caused. It ends on a hopeful note, striving for a future led by understanding and knowledge. I ran into an issue using Canva’s AI tool. As AI image generation is currently not that advanced, the text is unreadable and does not properly represent the topic.
